  14. I'm having a really weird problem that I hope some of you LightWave
  15. experts can help me with. I just purchased the stand-alone version
  16. about a month ago and now have some time to play around with the
  17. Modeler. So I started up LightWave, went into Modeler and started
  18. with the first tutorial. Everything was going great until it asked
  19. me to display the ABC letters by pressing the D key, and then select
  20. Moving/Solid for the preview. As soon as that is selected, almost
  21. the entire screen scrambles just as though you had lost horizontal
  22. sync on the monitor. You would almost think this, but the top row
  23. of buttons (Objects, Modify, Multiply, etc.) are not affected at
  24. all. Just everything below the buttons. Realizing that LW 3.5 is
  25. not exactly friendly with most graphics cards, I disabled all of
  26. the EGS programs and libraries for my Spectrum card. It didn't
  27. make any difference, and besides, I don't promote the LW screens
  28. anyway. They are always DBLNTSC screens. As far as I can tell,
  29. this is the only time that Modeler is affected, when you set the
  30. preview display for Moving/Solid. Here is my system setup:

  34. EGS Spectrum card (not used with LightWave)
  35. Emplant
  36. GVP I/O Extender

  38. Anyone have any ideas on what the heck is going on? I would be
  39. grateful for any help!
